Hey! 👋 I've been radio silent here for a little while, so I'm popping back in to let you know what I've been working on: chainmail!

This is a chainmail glove I just finished up a couple weeks ago, for use in the kitchen so I don't chop off the tips of my little fingies. It's made from about 7500 6mm inner diameter stainless steel rings, though I still need to weigh it to get a more exact ring count. It took about two months on it off-and-on in my free time, and I went completely off-book for it (most gloves have the weave going up-and-down while I prefer the look of left-to-right), hence losing count of how many rings were used 😅.

Originally I wanted this project to be a head piece, but I messed up my ring order and got rings that were way too small for that. This means my next project will be getting the materials together to start making my own rings at various sizes, and putting together some pieces in aluminum for cosplay purposes. Stay tuned!
